1906 Print Myles Birkett Foster Senior Father Portrait Beard England Hat XAT7 LHJ2 Aubrey Beardsley and Kay NielsenThis is an original 1906 black and white halftone print of Myles Birket Foster, Senior, who we believe is the father of Myles Birket Foster (1825 1899), the English watercolor artist. He was born in North Shields, England, to a Quaker family. Foster was apprenticed to a wood engraver named Ebenezer Landells and worked as an illustrator for books and periodicals. He is also known for his landscapes which he painted as he traveled throughout Europe.
