The thin tip does not obstruct the view around the parachute post where you are hackling. Wind the hackle from top to bottom and secure the hackle at the base of the parachute post. The elastomer rubber at the joint acts as a shock absorber. The inside of the pliers has been sandblasted for a non slip finish. The edge of the tip has a full radius to firmly grip the hackle stalk and prevent it from being
