Jesus and his cross seem to be made of ceramic material or perhaps some sort of concrete (it's not especially heavy though)

and youthful still

and was enhanced with some green and white paint plus yellowy-cream paint across the flat of the stumps

and dried over a period of several weeks

Antique Papier Mache Snuff Box with Hand-painted Red, Green and Black Flower yellow box 6 of SPADES[Group: The TrojanI just thought this one was was really pretty, and in my world one can never have too many pretty boxes, large to very small! 19th c., lacquered papier mache, with the band separating the areas of red a dark green, as is the bottom of the box. Lovely. 2 1 2" in diameter x 7 8" t and in very good condition. There is a tiny hole at the very center perhaps which once held a pin or a pull, which I only noticed in magnified photos.
