which it closely follows from  the form of the carved body

I've shot them at 2x magnification to properly capture the beauty of their slightly irregular carved wood forms

Delicately Carved Twisting Ball in Cage Whimsy antique macrame basket 12" l x 1 1/8"Such a delicate, almost dainty little whimsy, with these very thin posts carved very carefully on the diagonal, giving the whole thing a twist. The U shaped loop handle at top would make it an easily one to hang mid air, where it might spiral perpetually. Lovely. 3 1 8" t x 3 4" w and d. Very good condition. A little dust captured in a couple photos, which I will brush off!
