This is totally inert BATF compliant genuine World War One French Foug Mle 1916 "Citron" (Lemon) grenade body in good condition. It still retains the galvanized steel fuze cover but the wood fuse insert is a newer replacement. They were easily lost, so it is common to find just the bodies or with replacement parts, such as with this example. There is some light surface rust on the body, but the fragmentation shape is
