probably made by a machinist late 19th c/early 20th c or so
with a little roughness in a couple of spots around the edge and one dark stain on the inside of the bowl
She also makes me think of the all of the carved marble books of the 19th into early 20th c--here with a full blown statue to which the book is attached
The tube is only long enough to hold a fairly short stem or two--encouraging creativity
with a little wear around the edges
