This is a nice example of the classic Japanese WWII Issue Tetsubo helmet shell, also colloquially called the tetsukabuto ("steel helmet") by troops. This helmet was found sometime after the war, so unfortunately the liner and chin strap are missing, destroyed by the elements. Most of the paint is missing, and the shell does have rust damage, particularly on the inside. However, the liner attaching split pins and chin
