I believe the fronts were hand-printed--the color is lush but a little uneven

excepting one fine split in the wood near the top that was at one point (I am guessing long ago) glued tightly back together and is barely noticeable

I've seen similarly shaped brushes described both as barber's brushes

reinforcing my notion that this guy really wouldn't harm a flea
