I think it's pretty hard to beat a kitchen stocked with earthy speckled stoneware

making for quite a strange image indeed

in which it appears to have lived for quite a long time and which suits in perfectly I think

but I closed those holes in the interest of preventing beading loss

The mending is white on white (two linen squares sewn on as second layers plus a double border square sewn in white thread), the darning stitiches a pretty soft blue. Detail photos give the best sense, including for being able to see where the linen was pierced in order to be darned. To my eye minimalist
