all of the black is hand-embroidered

and what I assume are the initials of the carver

but it's very sturdy now and honestly I didn't notice it until I photographed it

I love the ambling trail of brass nails around the sides and back of this one, forming itself into hearts as it, and then one more on the toe and two on the sliding lid. Also, the extra longgg toe!
