The grapes for this complex white wine come from the winery's oldest parcel, directly below the castle, and grow on very old, in some cases ungrafted, vines. The up to 80 year old vines are deeply rooted in the skeletal grey slate soil and produce only low yields. However, the few small, loose berried grapes are extremely concentrated, intensely
