Constructed of silvered magnetic steel, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with a 1893 95 campaign bar retrieved from a Colonial Medal, the obverse bearing a raised depiction of Germania, circumscribed by an inscription of SUEDWEST AFRIKA 1904 06, the reverse bearing a raised monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm II, circumscribed by an inscription of VERDIENST UM DIE EXPEDITION (SERVICE TO THE
