Germany, Third Reich. A Customs and Border Protection Winter Service Cap certificate_of_authenticity over Palau Island on March(Zollgrenzschutz Winterfellmtze). An extremely well preserved Zollgrenschutz (Customs and Border Protection) winter service cap, constructed of a field grey wool base. Fold down flaps surround the exterior, and consist of a dark blue grey cotton blended cloth base topped by a thick layer of rabbit fur, with the extended sides offering optional ear and neck protection to the wearer. When not in use, the former roll up and are sacred in place over the
