Germany, Heer. A Winter Field Cap Archive likely presented to von Kathen(Heer Pelzmtze). An extremely well preserved Heer winter field cap, constructed of field grey wool. The cap is surrounded by multi piece fold down side walls, consisting of frontal and reverse visor with ear flaps, lined on the exterior with high quality rabbit fur. When not in use, the ear flaps meet in the centre of the crown and are secured together with dual drawstrings. Pinned onto the peak is an aluminum insignia consisting of a Wehrmacht eagle
