Germany, Wehrmacht. A 1939 Iron Cross I Class, Non-Magnetic, Vienna Maker consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac as of April 26(Eisernes Kreuz 1939 I. Klasse). Reinstituted 1 September 1939. (1939 1945 issue). Constructed of a non magnetic metal, consisting of a Cross Patte with a blackened core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central mobile swastika, the six oclock arm with a reinstitution date of 1939, the reverse with a block hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked but with the frame demonstrating the characteristics of manufacture
