Germany, Kriegsmarine. An S-Boat War Badge, Type II, Variation 1 by Schwerin Buy Now maker marked “KO” for a(Schnellbootkriegsabzeichen). Constructed of gilded and silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Kriegsmarine eagle clutching a mobile swastika, surrounding a central depiction of an S Boat cutting through waves, the reverse with a barrel hinge and wide horizontal pinback meeting a flat wire catch emanating from a circular plate, designer marked W. E. PEEKHAUS, BERLIN and
