Constructed of silvered magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, surrounding a central mobile swastika overlaid by a sword, the reverse with an integral hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked W. REDO, SAARLAUTERN for the firm of Werner Redo, measuring 46. 56 mm (w) x 58. 84 mm (h), weighing 17. 4 grams, a Type III badge in near extremely fine condition.
